Benjamin Blady is a Los Agneles attorney and mediator.  Mr. Blady has been a lawyer since 1992.  After years of practice as a litigation attorney, he added mediation to his practice in 2003. He obtained his mediation training through the Los Angeles County Bar.

Since 2003, Mr. Blady has mediated numerous civil and employment litigation matters to successful resolution. He has received recognition from the Los Angeles Superior Court for his voluntary mediation efforts, and has been appointed as an Early Neutral Evaluator for the Los Angeles Superior Court based on his employment law experience.

Mr. Blady's mediation style incorporates techniques he learned when he began his legal career in 1992 as a Research Attorney for the Los Angeles Superior Court. At that time, he was able to observe how multiple judges handled voluntary and mandatory settlement conferences. Stated differently, he received on the job training in being a true "neutral."  After working at the Supeior Court, in 1994, he began his employment litigation practice on the defense side representing employers. In 2003, he began focusing his employment litigation practice on the plaintiff’s side representing employees.

Over the years, Mr. Blady has obtained unique experience through working at the Los Angeles Superior Court, litigating on both the defense and the plaintiff’s side, and now as a mediator. He has blended his varied experience into a mediation style that recognizes the benefits of both evaluative and facilitative styles of mediation.

Mr. Blady's daily fee for mediation for an individual case is $4,750.  His daily fee for a class action mediation is $5,750.

If either party’s counsel (law firm) has not used Mr. Blady as a mediator, he will - depending on availability - agree to limit his hourly rate to $150 per hour for the first 3 hours (the rate currently approved for the Los Angeles Superior Court's pay panel).  Mr. Blady's hourly rate for mediation is otherwise $650 per hour.
